With the 2019 iPhones just 4 months away, leaks have started pouring in from all directions. This one comes from our trusted sources in China. We have our hands on what is supposed to be the case renders which case manufacturers use as a reference to design cases for phones. And since majority of case makers hail from China, we have very good reasons to believe that this is the real deal.
This confirms the rumors that Apple will have 2 flagships this year, apart from whatever they have planned for the XR lineup. What we have our hands on might be perhaps called the “iPhone XI” and “iPhone XI Max”.
Looking at the renders, the highlight of the next iPhones is going to be that camera array. It looks huge. This can be due to the fact that the 2019 iPhones might support more than 2 camera lenses. Going by the trend of the latest Android Flagships sporting 3-4 cameras, it is very much possible that Apple might go in that direction too. Part of the reason might also be that there is only so much you can do with software for a camera and you need extra hardware to provide those ultra wide shots or even a ToF sensor for advanced depth mapping.
