Traditionally, large monitors have been unpleasant eyesores hidden away in the home office or the den – out of the gaze of visitors or members of the family happier with their laptop’s portability.
Now (US originating) Taiwanese electronics company AOC, with the help of design heavyweight Studio F.A. Porsche, has launched the Q27T1 QHD monitor in Australia and the profile of a well-designed business tool is now one of its strengths.
Right out of the box this is not like anything we have seen for sometime. The monitor is already attached to its very retro designed stand. All we need to do is open the back-panel and connect the HDMI cable and the power cable. The Q27T1 quickly adapts to the signal from the MacBook Pro and you’re underway.
From any angle, the AOC Q27T1 QHD monitor is a thing of beauty. From the angular stainless steel stand to the hidden connector panel, to the 8.5mm side-on profile, the Q27T1 stands out. Other stand-out features include 178º (H) / 178º (V) viewing angles, two HDMI and single DisplayPort connectors, and IPS technology which greatly improves viewing angle with two transistors per pixel.
With QHD resolution and 16.7 million display colours on the screen, there are over 3.6M pixels on the screen and the IPS feature ensures a Contrast Ratio of 1000:1 which is perfect for digital production teams, photographers, and interior designers.
The user interface is super easy to navigate and it opens up a number of highly customisable features on the Q27T1. The Clear Vision function provides the best image viewing experience by converting low resolution and blurry images into clear and vivid images. The Super Color technology greatly enhances the viewing experience with more passionate reds, greens and blues. Five settings for the Colour Temp and LowBlue Mode mean you can enjoy better colour accuracy and true-to-life colour reproduction in your photos and videos with the Q27T1 only drawing 23W of power under normal operating conditions.
This is a very smart, very easy to use monitor that takes your home-office game to the next level for gaming, design, or just to make your desk look a lot more attractive whilst you get on with the tasks at hand.
